Car Showrooms are closed, so you cannot go in that Dept.

It's the 1.8 TSI GTI Polo 192 PS Peter so as much power and torque as my Plus 8 (and better handling) I'm not telling her that though.

She/we have been delighted with the previous 150bhp GTI for ten years but it's time for an upgrade + a good time to buy economically and neither of us have any enthusiasm for electric cars. I suspect there will be no choice soon and we wanted to avoid that situation.

Richard, due to the virus having a “shelf life” you could just leave it for a few days. We have a hands sprayer we filled with diluted to 15ml bleach in 1 litre water. swmbo has also dried some wipes and put them in a sealable container after re-wetting them with the diluted bleach. I used a couple to wipe down a parcel just delivered from Frost.

sospan, thanks for that any idea what the shelf life is ? Both good helpful suggestions thumbs

Later - just looked up the shelf life is around 9 days so I think it will be wiping time.

Just spotted an error. Dilution is 30ml per litre! Yes, wiping in the cabin would be best anyway. Anywhere touched by the garage people. Remember the keys too!

swmbo has a polo has a Polo, she has always been a VW fan. It is not the GTI and I rather disrespectfully call it the "shopping trolly". When new the suspension seemed harsher than the Morgan but now it has run in it is reasonably compliant. It is a 2016 1.2 TSi 105 PS and lacks torque until the turbo cuts in so is often a bit sluggish coming out of hairpins in second gear, particularly if it has a load on. If it can be kept in the effective turbo band it gets along quite nicely.

Years ago sospan jnr was doing a placement year as part of a degree. He was based at home. I bought a runabout for him. A Proton with 1.3l Mitsubushi engine. Low mileage at 32k and 10 yrs old. £600 from my dad’s mate. After trying it out we swopped cars! I used it for commuting (60 miles each way on M4) so cruising along. Jnr used our Focus.
Proton had no pulling power but trundled along well. VERY reliable. One brake calliper seized and no other costs apart from routine service. Did 20k in a year and sold it for £600. I regretted selling it.
