Hi Chris, Welcome from sunny "Locked down" Pembrokeshire, I, like you, have recently purchased a Morgan (2011 Plus 4) in January this year, having owned Porches, Jaguars and an Aston previously. Not as my 'Everyday' cars I hasten to add. Have spent this non driving period (Due to COVID 19 & the Weather) in making some changes to "Marty"; stainless door lock covers & quarter panel protectors, Wolf Bonnet Stays, Leather felt backed Bonnet Strap, Radio Aerial, Speakers and classic DAB Head Unit etc. Also waiting to install Stainless 6" Spots and SiFab Aluminium Radiator and Williams Stainless Header Tank. Also awaiting delivery of a short Front Splitter. The nice thing about Morgan ownership, beside this exceptional forum and friendly knowledgeable members, is that if you are half handy with a spanner you can do a lot yourself and obtain the satisfaction in seeing the changes. Also, being a TM'r gives you access to like minded enthusiasts and a vast source of advice & information. Good luck in your future Mog driving once you are able and let us hope we can all get out soon for some sociable driving!!! John

Thanks guys.
Graham has found the one and its having a few things done at the moment. I will post some 911 photos later.
Looking forward to fettling and fiddling again now I have time, which aren't so easy with Porsches and even less so with my other car, which is a BMW M4. Wife hates that cos its way too fast for public roads (400 - 444 bhp and you're doing silly speeds very quickly and quietly except when you press the M(ad)2 button when its even quicker but noisier) so I expect it will be replaced at some point in the near future by something more sedate. M2 also switches off some of the electronics that keep it in a straight line so it doesn't get pressed very often.
I've previously owned a supercharged VX220, which was also much too fast for its own good and detested by her as well. Fortunately she liked the Porsches and really likes the Morgan provided not too much noise or acceleration. We did look at a 3.7 Roadster at Williams, but that had a four pipe exhaust system which was rather raucous and too resonant for my liking. Also did not feel as well balanced as the 3.0 and the clutch was very heavy too.
Chris

Well the roadster sport has finally arrived and we are delighted. Gleaming sport green and all the better looking for wolf front valance and stainless steel rack. I also had the SSL front suspension upgrade fitted because everything I’d read pointed to a much better driving experience. Only drove a couple of test miles before the mod and only 20 since but noticeable improvement. I’ll post some photographs when I learn how and of the outgoing Porsche too. Hope to get some miles in over the coming days but will probably wait until after the bank holiday (maybe I won’t).

Welcome Chris.. I had a 3.0L Roadster before being seduced by the Plus 8. The SSL front end is a BIG improvement, but their 5 link rear end takes the ride and handling almost into the 1989s... I'm near Salisbury and Williams look after the car.
When we are released from House Arrest I look forward to catching up.
