Hi Guys, So that I don't do any damage to my new Blaupunkt Head Unit when fitting, I was hoping someone might be able to advise on the Morgan's Radio Pre-Wired Plug(s)?
I know that the Brown Plug has the Speaker Wires but the Black Plug has me a little confused as it is not colour coded like the plug that came with the Head Unit.
The Morgan's plug has 8 pins of which there are only 4 coloured wires, as follows:
Black (Ground?)
Green/White
Purple/Red
Orange/Red
I am sure that they will be for: Switched 12v feed, Direct 12v feed and Illumination, however I have not got a clue which and am a bit surprised that the factory didn't go with the traditional three main power colours of, Red, Blue and Orange?
Anyone able to assist?

When I fitted my Pure radio.CD into my 2013 plus 4 it was a straightforward "click and connect" and no alteration to wiring./plug was needed.

The factory plug fitted my Sony perfectly. From memory it is DIN standard.

Yes, the usual 8point connectors are just "plug and work". Only Volkswagen has sometimes changes alltime power and ignition power.

I fitted two radios (changing from a bluetooth to a "Fernbedienung"), both in and work.

Pin 7 Black = ground
Pin 8 Light green/white = switched +12 volts
Pin 3 Purple/red = permanent +12 volts
Pin 5 Red/orange = light feed (if used/present)

Note on later models 2014 on, the purple/red permanent feed is replaced with brown/blue cable.

Thanks Richard, As the sun was shining and I had nothing better to do, found my long lost "Circuit Tester" and came to the same conclusion. Will probably splice into the switched feed for the power (Blue Cable) to the dab splitter, would you agree?

I fitted my dab splitter to the live feed, as I like to listen to music whilst working on the car. No problems with drain so far, and my Blaupunkt auto offs after an hour.

Just fitted a new system. The two plugs are DIN standard so they are plug and play. I also squeezed in (literally) a DAB aerial splitter and that needed a power connection but that was provided for on the short harness that came with the system.

That sounds fine John. On my Sony radio its own short loom had a spare yellow cable for electric aerial extension that I used for DAB splitter power.
