Amazing story of AMAZING courage, Thanks for posting Max5.

Last Spit I was close to was the Rolls Royce owned PRG replacement for the one that crashed. RR had their Spit fly round RR factories and give a bit of a display, I was fortunate to be at the local airport on at least two occasions when it visited, and chatted with the pilot of the original RR kite Think I may have posted a pic on here...

Excellent, well produced and what a guy.

The PRU XI Spitfires had wing leading edge tanks and also a bulged cowling under the propellor to cover an enlarged 14.5 gallon oil tank, the Merlin 60 used a fair bit of oil on a long flight to Berlin and back, typically 11 litres an hour.
The Merlin 60 was a 2 speed, 2 stage intercooled engine with a fuel burn of 600L per hour. at full throttle.
Typically they cruised at 395 mph at 32,000 ft.
470 were built and used by both RAF and USAF.

Mount Farm was a satellite airfield very close to Benson. You can still see the runways under the crops on Google Maps, and make out the airfield station under the new village of Berinsfield. Of interest to Morganeers is that it is opposite H Cafe a biker cafe for Summer non-lockdown greasy breakfasts!

I had seen that before in a random Spitfire haul around the time the film was released. Lovely work and beautifully made. Nice to watch again.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

As my Dad say's if you walk away from it, it's a good landing!

Great film, thanks for sharing.
