Quite agree, it did take quite a while to cut it back to a smooth finish, probably should of stuck with the 1,000 paper thinking

Interesting info on Halfords Caliper paint. Says it's good for 80°C and adds that calipers themselves don't get that hot. I have some red Hammerite and looked up the spec. Apparently it's good for short periods up to 150°C once cured although can fade if left too long at higher temp......I wonder [Linked Image]

Can't remember if the Morgan logo on my Roadsters caliper's is in relief. If so would be tempted to add it in white myself after re-painting. Have had good results with this technique using kitchen roll lightly soaked in white spirit to gently wipe off excess in a single pass.

Hi Richard

1) Sand face of caliper with 1,000 grit paper
3) Clean with methylated spirits
2) Mask up half the caliper
4) Apply one coat of Caliper paint (Halford 250ml £10.99) leave to dry for about 40 - 45 mins touch dry
5) Sand with 3,000 grit paper with a little water, and clean with methylated spirits
6) Apply second coat of paint.
7) Leave to dry for 48 hrs
8) Stick on Morgan high temp caliper decals (eBay)
9) Polish the face of the caliper

As you know Kev - it`s what you get when you use your car!! Still running most days - surprisingly my times are coming down steadily - running more often but slightly shorter distances. I think it must be the adrenaline because I always feel a bit down after the morning news but a run perks me up no end. joy

And thanks from me - although this listing ended I will contact the seller for availability as I note in the collage on his site the Morgon logo is present.

Hi all, I recently got a set of the same decals (Thanks Craig), they were 2 short on receipt but on complaining they swiftly apologised and sent out a couple more. Prompt service. Just waiting to complete other jobs on Marty (2011 + 4) before setting to work on the callipers.

As a follow up, although not listed on eBay by the seller they can provide decals with Morgan logo. I just ordered the Brembo set which is listed here with a follow up message asking for Morgan logo in white instead. Just got confirmation message received and they are already on their way.
