A very interesting watch. I had in mind trying to make a similar thing, but as a clock, inspired by my Meistersinger 12 hour single handed watch. It would be electronic. Easy enough to set up a commonly available movement as a single handed clock but I wanted to make it so that it looked like a tachometer with the quadrant 0 to 12 and the hand jumping from the 12 to the 0, say one quarter of the quadrant in the final second of the 12 hours.

I looked to see what was available in small stepping motors and programmable drivers but eventually decided that it was beyond my skills.

The grid girls have gone. Maybe watch girls can add glamour to car racing 😎

So much different to standard wrist watches. 👍
I think I will try to find one in reality, not only pictures.

Check on Chrono24, there is a guy in Paris selloing a mint one with extra straps. I almost bought it from him but ended up getting a great deal on a new one locally.

@John, longbridge because that design was inspired from mini dash

Ludo, the pictures were cropped from the Chrono24 ad.
According the pics the condition is just ok, not very good.
I prefer personal inspection as pictures often do not show the real picture.

I made/make watch straps for them. literally hundreds of the buggers!! When the MB was introduced I was approached to make the nylon strap for it. Ive done other bits and bobs too, like the special strap that wing suit nutter Gary Connery wore when he jumped from a heli and landed without using a parachute !!

Great guys to work with, doing really great stuff thumbs
