Given I have a bit of spare time on my hands, you're making me think I could do a pair in aluminium...…………… grin2

I covered the Plus 4 retainers in black leather, but I happen to have some 2mm, and 2.5mm aluminium sheet in stock, bought for something else...…….

And another job? Why not...……..I could make a small batch. It would be small though. Very small.

I wonder why nobody has done this already.

What on earth is it ? because I've never seen one on my 4/4.

IIRC, our 1985 4/4 had something else to perform that role.

Our current car uses the part in the picture.

You may find it if you lift the carpet off the luggage shelf behind your seats. At least my 2005 S1 Roadster has this solution...

So am I right in thinking it's one of the two clips that retains the removable shelf panel behind the seats ? only the one's fitted to my 4/4 are made of steel..
