I like all the Front Disc Brake Caliper work, however, what colour do you then paint the rear drums?

Front red caliper's look epic, but would red rear drums (also in red look OTT?).

Can you up load some shots of the rear wheels (with the wheels on) so that i can see what red/black/silver etc. looks like "through the spokes of a road wheel"

Well also spurred on by Craigs brake caliper painting and armed with aerosol of Hycote red caliper paint and set of Morgan stickers I started the ball rolling yesterday. Car reversed into garage and on axle stands, so I can work with reasonable amouht of light.

Spent some time cleaning muck out of wheel arches and cleaning suspension. Removed pads and rubbed calipers down with 600 grit wet and dry both sides, although will leave portion on inside where mounting bolts are with OE finish. Surprised how well integrated with the black finish the Morgan logo is. I can still see it vaguely now although it shouldn't affect paint. Decided right or wrong to go for spray paint for best finish but underestimated the time and effort in masking everything up, committed now though. Presently about 80% through finishing one side. Cap head bolts that hold caliper halves together slightly rusty so they will get paint as well, not insides where pads locate though.

Cleaning everything in the area with help of powerful COB LED wand, I can now see what parts I missed with Hammerite silk black paint first time around, so they will get treated later. Whilst cleaning n/s wheel arch I heard a tinkling sound, turned out this was the washer under the large 1/2" UNF nut that holds inner wing (valance) tie bar in position, the one located behind and near top of radiator. It wasn't even finger tight and held only by underseal on threads! It locks against an inner nut to brace the valances which didn't seem to have moved, so nipped it up with a 19mm spanner. Wonder if this could have accounted for slight metallic rattle on that side over road bumps.

Another two or three days work at my leisurely pace but have plenty of time on my hands. Plan to lacquer over new stickers if paint test OK.

Briefly thought to use red, but brake drums not something to be highlighted IMO.

Yep, black satin engine paint on mine, mainly because I had some on the shelf

I've also done the messy area between front hub & disc that MMC leave as untreated casting & it soon corrodes & looks nasty
