Same here. A friend has a W129 and it is the first „modern“ SL in the sense of being too polite.

I wouldn't touch the W129 either. And I have a bit of a hate relationship with 2cv due to a former neighbour. A Mehari on the other hand I would have a play with - and I know I'd fit as I tried one at La Vie en Bleu at Prescott a few years ago. Sadly it wouldn't fit the bank balance nowadays! smile

I've always had a bit of hankering for a stretched Defender 6x6

But I'd have trouble getting this on the driveway
My pre-Defender 127" was a trifle on the long side for where we lived.

Have fun with the 2cv FW!

You folks are weird. I would prefer a short wheelbase.

I have a SWB!! grin2
I used to run an early 4 door Range Rover which doubled as my Rally Recovery unit, but TBH it was close on weight limit with all kit loaded, so ended up with the 127". It was a bit long for turning around on narrow Welsh forest tracks but otherwise a superb bit of kit. Plenty room, used on a few holidays as well as the Recovery side. When I stopped doing the recovery I really didn't need the extra capacity. I really wanted a 110 Commercial, but settled on the 90 as even the 110 was larger than we needed. Now on my own the 90 is big enough smile
