Craig, here is an idea if the lockdown continues. You could organise your would pile by size & have the point bit of the split logs all pointing in one direction.
laugh2 notworthy

Or you could and clean my car if you like a very big challenge.

It’s such a beautiful steering wheel, I hate to admit it, but i think it’s better looking than the brooklands I have.

Extra man points too for using the good towels from the en-suite, I’ve had that row from her more than once. laugh2

Craig, you eventually posted that you liked my 4/4 and its color so much. If you like, we swap our cars for six weeks? Mine will look like yours, and yours has unforgettable traces of the Nürburgring, which will increase the feeling to the car a lot cheers

Craig - that looks fantastic. I tried using a Dremel with the Dremel polish and it came out terrible then the felt pad fell apart so obviously Meguires is better. I ended up doing it by hand with Californian Customs Purple Polish that works nicely but I didn't get it anywhere as nice as your steering wheel.

A few questions if possible.

What fitting did you use on the Dremel?
What speed did you use on the Dremel?
Is that a 14inch wheel with the thicker wood rim? Do you like it? I have a 15 inch standard thickness and it feels too big and too skinny.

Thanks Chris

Hi Chris, I used (I think) the 26mm polishing wheel on a medium speed, with Meguires all metal polish. Then buff it off by hand

My steering wheel is 13inch extra thick grip, and yes I like it, I wouldn't want it any bigger
