I got a Avon ZV7 on Blackcircles last week for £48 fitted as I had a puncture. Haven’t seen them as cheap as that, it was a 2020 manufactured tyre as well.

I have a 2002 Plus8. Just over a year ago I renewed all 5 tyres. Yokohamas were on the car (i like them) but I couldn’t get new ones in the same profile (60) and didn’t want to put 55 profile on to lose ground clearance.
I went with Avon ZV7 based on comments from TM plus they had a good wet rating. Better than the old Yokos. My thoughts are that wet braking and grip is going to come into play more than dry so a bit more safety margin. I am happy with the feel ofthe Avons. Bought through Blackcircles and fitted by my regular tyre shop.

Note ATS could not acquire the Avon’s when I tried to order them last week. Thus saved money and went blackcircles.

I suspect with new vehicle production dropping massively & the lockdown dropping drivers mileage, the tyre manufacturers will have a glut of stock

Possibly THE best opportunity for some bargains

Blackcircles were that cheap pre-COVID. I got some 195's for the front and some 205's for the rear on mine. Really surprised at the price, and was dead easy to get them done.

Would certainly recommend them.

Blackcircles certainly offer good deals. The only thing that annoyed me was that mine were delivered loose, with no wrapping at all. They had been bouncing about in the back of the delivery truck and the fine cardboard powder that is inherent on the floor of such vehicles, was ingrained in the patterns and writings on the side walls. They looked virtually second hand! A simple hose down was insufficient so had to resort to a nail brush and go over every inch. If only they were in a bin bag it would have been so much better.

I’ve ordered the same size for my 2009 plus 4 which is currently shod with 195 60 R15. I just wanted to check they will fit as yours have Griffin, all info welcome

The 205x65 will give a diameter 5% larger than the standard 195 x 60. So acceleration will diminish a little and 50mph will be 52.51 mph not a huge difference but you could always recalibrate the speedo. ( also bear in mind, Griffo has a rocket engine under the bonnet so acceleration issues are not so much a problem)

Thanks Doug, useful to know that.
