IoW is still on my "must visit" list - one day! smile

As a foot passenger, use the Red Jet from Southampton to Cowes.
Thoroughly recommended.

Thanks Simon.
Original vague plan a few years ago was to spend a few days there. There were several places Sue wanted to see, too. Whether we'd have gone in the Morgan is debatable. smile

Welcome Dave on the Isle of Wight. You likely have the most deserted IOW summer roads for a generation - not many "tourists" about this year - plus the lovely " Milli" ( Military ) road to stretch the cars legs running down from Freshwater. Enjoy!

Welcome, I'm a newcomer myself and so far so good:-)
My in-laws (in their 90s) live in Freshwater so if you see a black 4/4 sport, it's probably me checking on my inheritance :-)

Welcome you live in a lovely part of the world , we spent a week based in Ventnor exploring the island a few years back , discovered a great Italian style cafe who really understood fresh food there too.

Welcome from Reading Dave. I have only visited the island once but loved it and look forward to hearing about your local Morgan travels

Welcome David, from just across the water in the New Forest.
Last May a group of Morgan owners descended on IOW for a long weekend.
Enormous fun and some wonderful roads.
Here we all are at the hotel, which was Morgan Owners Only for the weekend!

Our car is the Bronze Plus 8 in the centre background, by the hotel.

Welcome Dave, I have got to ask the obvious question, what fuel do you put in your car? Is it the cheap supermarket stuff or do you pay for the premium petrol? Personally I use the cheap stuff and put redux in it a couple of themes a year.

Hi, on the island I use Esso fuel in the Morgan but use supermarket fuels in the other vehicles, bear in mind the fuel on the island all comes from the same refinery, the difference being the different additives the various companies are prepared to pay for at the tanker loading rack where the additive is injected during the flow of fuel onto the truck, I can tell you that Costco use there own purchased package which is lubrizol technology and too expensive for the other hypermarmarkets to use. So a complete bargain and excellent fuel. You mention Redex which is largely an upper cylinder lubricant and not required in most cases but if you feel it does the car good then use it. I hope that helps.
