Only one or possibly two Plus8 4 seaters were made. There are V6 4 seaters, but they will be £35k plus....

I don,t think it asking much to have a radio position that does not need arms as long as an ape to turn on or off. I think the general consensus is that you cant comfortably hear the radio at much over 60mph (hood up or down), so it's not that important a piece of kit. I have taken to using the radio tuner on my phone with earpieces for traffic news on the hoof, and a bit of entertainment to while away the hours - I spent the thick end of year commuting from the midlands to east kent in my 4/4 4 seater. I think it would be entirely possible to install a secure trunk in the back of a 4 seater. Although secure and morgan do not often appear in the same sentence!

hi chaps. last night in bed i was thinking what cars i had driven that had the same ride and feel as the morgan, it was not the e type which was to nose heavy, or any other jag i had owned, it was a bit like an old mgb in a way, but to be honest in the end my mind went back time and time again to my old stage one land rover, ok the morgan was a bit faster from standing start, but the noice level and ride was about the same, and so was that sitting in something from the age of the horse and cart. I just don,t think a morgan is for me. I wanted it to be, but its not. good luck with yours and it was nice to talk to you all. And yes when i see a morgan it will bring a smile.

Well, as Dave W said "Morgans do not suit everyone". Radio? What's that... Door 'Stops' - Librands do a conversion kit to replace the door straps, I've not fitted them but a good number here have. Hoods, never had a (N)Everflex one, my '76 has a Twillfast, and the +4 I owned for a year had an Allon White Easy-Up conversion, so-called Mohair, but actually Twillfast. There is more room in 4 seaters (inc. width), the rear seats can be removed. Post Oct('ish) 1997 cars had doors 2 inches longer than the earlier ones (Morgan had to increase the gap between occupants and dash/steering wheel to comply with air bag safety). There is definitely a technigue to entry/egress - with the hood up it is not possible to this in a dignified way . A Stage One Land Rover? As in the first official V8 fitting to a 109"? Came close to buying one a number of years ago, but in the end prefer the coil sprung variants now! Good luck, in whatever you end up driving. I don't think it will be from Malvern though. Cheers,

At least we persuaded him to test drive one!
Mind you if he likened the driving experience to a series 1 landy I wonder which dealer he used, they must have given him a real couple of dogs to drive.

Stage 1, not Series 1. But they both ride on cart springs...

Shame that you don't like the Morgan. I waited too long to get mine but dont regret getting one now. 1992 4/4 Corsa red Ford cvh 1600 inj. I LOVE it! Basic, but a great driving experience evry time. No frills, no power steering (not needed), cable clutch (I played rugby so have suitable thighs!)Ride is firm (!!!!) To me it brings back "proper" driving. Having got the bug I am drooling over different ones - maybe next year......

Yup, Stage One tune. The LR Stage 1 only ran for a few short years. 109" SIII (LWB only) with restricted RR 3.5 V8. Easy to recognise as the recessed front between the wings had gone, to be replaced by a flush front, metal open mesh grille... The restrictor was in its simplest form a smaller venturi plate under each carb, reducing the maximum air volume / flow. Many people removed them . The Stage 1 also had full time four wheel drive (the first since the very early Series 1 s) - LR felt, probably correctly, that the torque from the 3.5 V8 in a part time 4x4 system would destroy the rear diff in short order. The Stage 1 was also a bit of a test bed for the new coil sprung 110" (and later 90, actually 92.9" wheelbase) that were waiting in the wings...
