This is exactly the reason why every Morgan owner needs a lathe. It would be a complete doddle to make up a replacement in silver steel and harden it rather than just replacing it with another mild steel pin that's going to wear again.

Periodic lubrication of these is on the servicing schedule, but I suspect is often missed, if the pin is dry & not rotating that's the classic photo of the wear you get
So, a little job for the weekend chaps ?
