Thursday, down to Glastonbury for a short overnighter, then Friday on to Tintagel, then Boscastle before ending up in Bude, our home for the week.

It was worth the effort. There are some tourists but most likely as few as in the 1960's. Not so good for the tourist industry but great for visitors. No cruise ships dumping out day tourists but young folks from Italy visiting their heritage. Lovely!

I drove up to Sheffield to collect #2 son for  Birthday . Not in the MOG as A14, A1, M1 but it was very quiet for all 400 miles. #2 son doesn't drive & we didn't want him to take public transport.

I drove up to Sheffield to collect #2 son for Birthday . Not in the MOG as A14, A1, M1 but it was very quiet for all 400 miles. #2 son doesn't drive & we didn't want him to take public transport. You could have dropped in for a break John! Not exactly half way though.

Quite a trek, have a good celebration John and wish your good lady all the best on the day. Our Son didn't get a car license until he was 30, he got his full bike license as soon as he could though.

Well, I have and it was unbelievable. Here's the story. This time last summer when we toured the Italian lakes I lost a memory card containing GoPro footage of the entire journey including trips through the Alps. I searched the car high and low on return, I even burst open the hoover bag and went through it with a fine tooth comb, nothing. I contacted all the hotels and ferry company in the vain hope someone may have found it and handed it in, they all replied but nothing found. Today I took a trip to Ewn's shop to buy some bits n pieces for the business. I went to put the Morgan back in the garage just now and guess what, there it was between the driver seat and cill  I went inside and told Mrs D and her reply was " you'd been driving like an idiot and braking hard on these back roads, that'll have dislodged it from under your seat" I couldn't possibly comment on that.

Jeez Gordon, as one who likes to grab pics on trips etc, I felt your pain and was well chuffed to get to the happy ending, shows that there is definite advantages to adding a bit of "G" when out for a drive on occasion
