In fairness to the factory, neoprene was fitted to the top of the pillars of my car in 2006 to prevent leaks.

As the top rail needs to be tensioned down over the top of the screen I think a gap (with some sort of seal) will always be needed. I was impressed by the header rail clips used on the Aero 8 and wondered why they were not adopted across the entire range.

I have a strip of "p" section draught excluder fitted all across the top of the screen - this mates with the seal inside the header rail to totally waterproof the screen - still 100% waterproof 4 years on!!

In February I bought my first Morgan, a 2009 Roadster 100, from Williams Morgan and am thoroughly enjoying the experience of driving a real car again. Last week I had to drive down to Williams and as rain was forecast had the roof up and the side screens fitted. As I needed to get there relatively quickly I opted to travel down via the M5 and noticed that at 70mph the side screens were sucked out from the A-posts so while at Williams I bought the revised neoprene A-post seals and fitted them last weekend. The old neoprene seals peeled off easily without tearing and have provided me with 4mm neoprene to cut and stick to the top of the A-posts to seal the little gaps that are mentioned in this thread. I now have to find a fast road to see if the new seals stop the side screens from being sucked away from the A-posts at speed but the new seals do appear to grip the side screens on my car.

Fitting these revised A-post seals has created a problem, it is now difficult to shut the doors with the hood up as the flaps of hood that hang down inside the car against the side screens are now too long and clash with the new seals, especially on the nearside. The bunched up fabric against the seal makes it hard to close the door and twists the side screen off the new seal. My next job will be to find some green thread so that I can modify these side curtains, has anyone else fitted these new A-post seals and experienced this?

On my Roadster the passenger side is hard to close with the roof up or down. But no issues with the hood. They work well at speed

Fitted mine about a year ago. No issues since. The inner flap Fits into the channel of the seal just. Causes a very slight wave but the doorS close easily.
At the time of fitting I had to do some work on the side screens to get them parallel. I also stuck the new u seals on top of the old as it made the u channel align better with the side screen.
