It will be for road, the odd track day and I'd love to start racing again.
I will find out tomorrow what it is like on the road tomorrow! Yes a trip up North of the border tomorrow!!
I'd also like to speak to the chap with the grey one for sale that still needs a bit of work doing.

I did that to my last one (fast road not a racer) and it was enjoyable, but I'd like a proven "turn key" racer this time round.

WOW....what a car! Very driveable on the road, VERY loud and great fun. I presume cars with extremely light flywheels may be tricky, but she could be a pussy cat if you wanted her to be.
It was a lovely father & son road trip, Russell and crew were all great (Revolutions, Perth), and it was great to be behind the wheel of a Plus 8 again....although I've put on a few stone since my last car....getting in and out was a little harder than I remember!

I remember the Indigo Plus 8 you took the Lightweight Alloys off and tried to flog them on here and got some secondhand wires sprayed black and then sold it on a couple of years back on here now.

Yes....the one that got away! I had to sell it to buy a house we loved....Sold it to a guy in Switzerland!

Happy hunting !!! Cheers Kev.... Most of the Ducatis have gone... have someone coming to look at an R1 track bike tomorrow. I have also just found my Dad's last +4 for sale! I had a day off school to collect it from the factory in 1999, I loved that car, it's just 4 cylinders short! I'm very tempted to buy it as it's a private sale and so won't loose anything on it. How much extra space does the Long Door version give over a 1981 +8?

About 2 1/2 inches from memory on the door length. The cabins all went wider to the +8 spec. The best bit is the wheel tilts a little & also the build quality & materials improved e.g. stainless firewall.

There was a marked difference between my two Plus 8's there is quite a bit more space in the later one and ingress and exit is easier with the longer door at 6' and 15 stone
