Enjoy the new car Mark. You won't be let out of side turnings nearly as often with the Porsche as with the Morgan! I can vouch for that, when I drive SWMBO's 911 I can sit for ages waiting to get out of a junction (mind you, it's almost as bad in my tintop Merc) whereas almost everyone becomes ultra polite if I'm in the Mog.

It is amazing how the Morgan promotes happiness and generosity on the road. Not moving on exactly, but I have done a silly thing and purchased an MG midget. It just looked so cute and perfect I couldn't resist it. I wonder if people will let me out in that? Now I have split loyalties, of course, and will have to be careful which fleece I'm wearing.... complications. Nick

I had four Midgets. The best looking by far was M reg round wheelarch in blaze. But an intermittent total power fail defeated me so I got rid in six months.
The most reliable was a Basilica blue F plater which I thrashed mercilessly and did a huge mileage in. It was pushing 100,000 when I sold it. The gearbox sounded like marbles in a can, and it was filled with Moly but it never once broke down.
The white J plater was the only car I had with wires before my Morgan. Silver Hammerite? I should have known better.
The Citron 1500 is best forgotten.

I loved my 1969 Midget. Great fun just like a Mog.

What are the Midgets like for space inside? Similar to a Mog?

Yes but with a boot. I would say the cockpit is smaller than the long door cars.

Morning all,
I must admit - when I was selling the Roadster the PlusSix was top of my list, however, the "hype" around this car has really put me off (and the Insurance Quote!). Interesting - was the insurance on the Plus Six noticeably higher than (say) your lovely new 911? Is this a sign that the accident record is catching up with the Plus Six? Will

One of our long term Morgan owners on here asked for a quote on the Plus Six from Headley and they declined..
