I'm in the process of changing car insurance for Tarka from Classic car through Classic Line to normal 3 car policy through NFU.
The logic is tat with normal insurance they base their offer, should the car be written off, on the cars available for sale at Morgan dealers: over the last 12 months 2014 Pluss 8s have been boffered at significantly more than the "agreed value" with Classic line, there is no mileage restriction and as part of a 3 car policy it is covered for business use. Although I have no NCD for the car NFU have offered an "introductory NCD" which makes the quote less than Classic Line.
NFU will offer a conventional classic car policy, but there is a 3000 miles a year restriction.

Sounds like a great deal given that "trading" price is offen no where near "offered" or advertised price.

Yes but with a boot. I would say the cockpit is smaller than the long door cars. Thank you - I'm tempted to get one for my daily commute - bang a hardtop on, and I reckon it'd be fine  I ran a Sprite mk 4 (Midget 3) for a year or two as my only car in 1980 and friends have a 1500 Midget. They are comfortable as a daily driver and the hood is relatively weather tight - to the point where I would run it for a while before splashing cash on a hard top. If the 1500 is the same crank arrangement as the 1300 Spitfire (it is the Triumph engine) - it has weak thrust bearings. A rattle on start up could mean a scrap block. The rust potential is no different to any other BL car of the era - I suspect you know what to look for. Apologies if any of this is teaching the elderly female relative to remove the contents of eggs.

I have my old Shropshire plate ready to go on the car. Very nice Aston BTW. On a more sombre note I was sorry to read your good lady is not well - I hope for better days for you both. Regards Mark
