My Ring smart battery charger failed not long after the warranty ended. I contacted Ring & they said send us the old one & we will send a new one. It just cost me the postage to send old back.
My second hand Sony shortwave raidio was kaput when the Sony batteries leaked. Sony sent me a free upgraded set, a pity they changed the polarity so the old mains unit did not work. I doubt they would have been so helpful if the batteries had not been Sony.
Good customer service does still exist & such suppliers need supporting.
