Does anyone know if MMC has a "house font", or even the font used on the rear panel model badges?

I want to put "V8" on the mesh grill, but my OCD requires it to be the correct font.

"Freehand" by the look of it. Some script comes close but some of the angles are strange.

Have you seen the 1930's Ford V8 logo? Nice and classic, and goes with the Morgan ethos of nicking stuff from other manufacturers.

Given what you are hoping to provide is just an easily seen shadow effect contrasting with mesh behind the main grill, I suspect that anything other than a simple single large as possible numeral will dilute the visual impact.

As mentioned elsewhere I considered similar for my Roadster with a "6" of course, but believe the retained number plate box reducing visible area of grill would reduce the impact.

Peter

Could a local sign writer draw you a couple of examples that you could pass on to a badge maker (I know a chap who used to work for the best company there is! And he is a Morgan owner of many years, he has made one offs for others).

The art-deco V8 symbol might work painted like that if the V and the 8 were contrasting colours. (Say, red and white)

At risk of thread drift .... Richard, is that coming down Prescott? ... never driven it that way .... was the return road closed?

The pic is from Evo. Looks very stylised / Photoshop?
Either it was the magazine peeing about, or didn't actually happen that way.
What the press get up to when they hire the place is up to them - we'd never normally run downhill.
During lockdown the return road has had the gate closed and locked where it enters the paddock due to the number of people that just enter and drive up a PRIVATE driveway. Apparently our general manager watched a 911 reverse back up the return road one day after the gate had been locked. We have CCTV at various locations around the site

Odd ..... but makes for a good pic though .... some hills (Doune comes to mind) .... are scarier on the return to the paddock than going up at speed smile

Peter J ...... were you thinking of painting the mesh or making/commisioning a metal logo? .... the later could be easily laser cut out of stainless and polished .... I know all about getting it right mattering when it comes to these things, I'm the same myself .... but as I don't think a 'V' appears anywhere in script on a Morgan (or you could just copy that) .... and it would be at the other end of the car .... you may have to settle for 'near as makes no odds' if it's a custom script .... not like anyone can point to a 'V' and say yours isn't right smile
