Sorry it’s filthy but it has been down there some time. Just gave it a quick polish and popped it back in.

Never seen anything like this, looks like an excellent idea though.

On the Roadster you need to be able to pull up the leather tunnel cover to access the gear box oil filler/ level plug which is just where that plate is. Nice idea though When I went looking I found the both inspection panels were riveted in place evidently during the build. Series 3 Roadster.

John said the same, someone who made is was smart as it can be removed or refitted in about 30 seconds so not an issue. Just pop the gear lever back into 2 or 4, hand brake on and it slides back and up. Easy.

I made something similar when I got my first Mog a few years ago, it was to mount a sat nav on. It's in alloy though. I stopped using it because I did not like the sat nav down so low. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2020/08/21/P1040063rs.md.jpg) Cheers John

I'm somewhat thick this afternoon ...... But, if it's not a footrest, what is it???? K That was the question I asked? All I could think of was it’s to provide a smooth surface for ones left shoe to slide along and protect the leather on the transmission cover. Seems a bit overkill but it certainly works as the car is a delight to drive and as I drive in Makusonni and Speceretti designer driving footwear (some call them Moccasin slippers) the clutch action is very smooth. So someone has gone to the trouble of crafting a stainless steel shield to prevent scuffing on a bit of leather you can only see if you stand on your head in the footwell? ..... The unswerving dedication to detail of Morgan owners astounds me! * K * other descriptions are available. Ps .... if it improves your driving experience then all power to it!
