Good luck with the search Kevin, perhaps we should compose a list of known crossover products used for the future as the factory is worse than useless on the series1.

I agree Em. Finding out anything about parts seems to be black arts or someone having it fall off their car and spending a lifetime googling it. I do worry about keeping the car long term if the parts situation is a constant search even now.

At least many of the parts generally come off mass produced cars. Imagine if you had a vintage Bugatti where replacement parts have to be fabricated by a not very cheap craftsman

Hi
Just for info , when i've bought my aero 8 to Melvyn Rutter , he have found the cable were not good during the service and replace them and now sound perfect !
He explain me it wasn't available but made there in his facility.
Don't hesitate to call Melvyn Rutter ....

Thanks for that info. Contacted them this morning but didn't seem to have any knowledge of the cables but were going to check. Asked if I knew the name of the customer who had it done but TV5R wasn't on their books.😁

Cheers Simon. Talked to Revolutions and apparently Morgan can supply the motors for 512 quid plus VAT. After fainting talked to Revolutions and told them you could get the cables made up so they will contact you and get the motor out of the door tomorrow to send you the parts.

Well that was a bit of a let down. Car in this morning to get motor and cable removed but appears the entire windod assembly including quarterlight and mirror would need to be removed and sent away but as I have plans for the car in the next few weeks it will need to wait for winter storage time for it to happen.
Why is it always so difficult!😡

I may be able to help out here Kevin;I have a used, N/S cable and motor from when mine broke a couple of years back (never throw anything out!!) I have just spoken with Simon (@ SiFab) and am going to send him the old bits so he can get some new cables made up and (hopefully) identify the definitive source of the motor. Fingers crossed, but watch this space......  James
