Ive been out with Craig Jezz in his immaculate 4/4 today as was impressed with the ride of his 4/4 and extra power of his remap.

Craig is very happy with his Sifab Panhard rod, but which is the easiest to fit and have those who have fitted them also noticed a vast difference in handling?

My winter projects are Brake Reaction & Panhard Rod (not necessarily at the same time) then maybe the remap.

Brake reaction bars will take at most a morning to fit and you’ll notice the difference as soon as you start to push on through twisty bits with cost and power on/off

Panhard rods take a bit longer but make certain you get the correct one for your car, they are handed. Simon will advise I’m sure.

They both make a big difference. For a lower power car like the 4/4 the reaction bars are good value for money.
The panhard rod will stiffen the back end if you drive hard. I would get advice from Simon.

I would also recommend Simon at SiFab for both.

The brake reaction bars are easy enough to fit, but mind the very fine thread at the top of king pin as its easy to cross thread if you're not very careful.

The Panhard rod is also simple to fit but space is very tight on the 4/4, clamp it in position first and check all clearances, I had to juggle mine to find the right spot.
Check twice and twice again, then drill once

Fit the reaction bars tight in against the chassis to minimise contact with the sidewalls on full lock.

+1 for the SiFab kit. It's relatively easy to fit although some of the bolts can be fiddly to install and tighten fully.

One word of caution.

Clean any underseal off the chassis rails before you fit the cross member.

I didn't think of that at the time and I noticed when I checked everything, after a hundred miles or so, that the bolts had lost some of their torque due to the underseal being compressed and squeezed out slightly.

That would ultimately allow the cross member to move slightly under load and possibly fret the bolts or even elongate the holes slightly.

To those who have already fitted them without removing the underseal. Check the fixings are all still fully torqued up.

I haven't heard of any problems but good practice IMHO.

As for handling performance. You will notice a significant improvement. More so than the brake reaction stays on a 4/4 in my opinion.

I had the Panhard Rod (SiFab) and Brake Reaction bars fitted at the same time at Williams Automobiles. I noticed the difference straight away, the car feels much safer now, it felt sloppy before.so well worth the upgrade IMO.

Just had brake reaction bars fitted to my plus for. They make the steering feel far more direct particularly over bumps. Very good value.
