I have had a play with the options on the morgan website, I'm now thinking sport sand with tan leather no chrome pack. I think it looks very retro on the computer.

Ivan, I think Sport Sand is the sleeper color of choice for the 3W. It's similar to a current Mini beige and a VW New Beetle beige. When I see these cars on the road, I notice that the color is both distinctive (it easily jumps out from other cars on the road) and very attractive. I think it's identical to the color code on my first car, a '71 VW Super Beetle... which was extremely easy to clean, forgiving about scratches, and combined well any way I might want to dress it up. I've been leaning toward Sport Sand with a deep red or berry red interior and black trim. It's odd that such an ideal color would be so seldom seen on the road. And yet on here you often hear nice comments about the color. I'll bet it becomes a favorite.

Hi Steven, the red leather would be nice, but I couldn't justify the additional cost, about £700. I think the tan interior will have to do. It's a real quandry what colour and trim combination to go for. I normally like to buy black cars and motorcycles. but I think the M3W will have to be a bit different.

You're right – it's a steep price for Bespoke leather. I haven't warmed up to the tan leather color yet, but maybe it's a matter of seeing it in person. It seems too washed-out. Black leather is tempting and looks great, but would be a little toasty here in Southern California.

I assume that the Tan leather is the same as in the trad Sports models. I've the tan in my 4/4 and if I'd had the choice would have gone for the black (not that toasty in the UK!) The tan suits the Sports Green I've got but it is pretty bland. I'm hoping it will mature! For the sake of £700 I'd go for Bespoke leather option.

I'm considering whether to try out Ko-Cho-Line saddle dressing on my tan leather to see if it darkens it. I use to use it on horse tack and just need to test out a small area first before I make a mistake!

Jay, good idea. Why not request a small leather sample from the factory?

I would personally love to see one in carbon fiber. Not sure that I would want a full carbon fiber car, but would be interesting to see how it would look. Would also be interesting to see polished aluminium as was done on the original lotus Mark 6.
