Introducing Molly....

“Molly” left Malvern in 1984 as a 4/4, narrow body 2 seater.
In 2010 she became SUPLEX’s technology development car, under the care of Peter Ballard, and so started a journey in which she gained SUPLEX front suspension (RS) and then their five link (5L) rear suspension. (SSL took over where SUPLEX left off).
Along the way she gained a 2.0L Ford Zetec engine, one that would normally have EFI, but to maintain the spirit of her non electronic past, now runs on a single Weber DFT carburettor, assisted with an ignition management module from OMEX. This gives real Plus 4 130 bhp power combined with the Ford Type 9 five speed gearbox.
Appropriately, she has four pot callipers and larger front disks from the +8”.
Recently serviced and with a 12 month MOT Molly has a lot of improvements, including:
• Supaform aluminium wings all round.
• Cupinol treated wood frame.
• Brake Servo & master cylinder from +4.
• Electric fuel pump, pressure regulator and filter.
• Wood dash & new switches.
• Moto-Lita steering wheel.
• SS rack with HUGE fitted trunk for touring.
Owned by my friend Ian, who as he approaches his 80th birthday, finds that his slightly worn out body isn’t really compatible with getting in and out of a short door 4/4 and also, with a wrecked left shoulder changing gear is tiresome. If he could, he’d buy a new Plus 4 Auto… So, Molly needs a new home”.
“I’ve driven Molly: the excellent ride and road holding were what persuaded me that SSL could make my 2014 Plus 8 much better. They did.
So, this is an opportunity to buy, for the paltry sum of £21,000, what is probably the best narrow body 4/4 or for that matter, Plus 4 out on the road.
PM me for Ian’s contact details.
