My quote (from a National company) was £47k and there was no guarantee that it would qualify for Government subsidies and I would have to make all Govt applications. ROI was about 7 years.
It also meant trashing 600 yards of under lawn "up and down" channelling for pipe or 5 X100mtr bore holes. Blimey. Our heating cost is around £600 a year, so we'd be dead before we ever saw a return on £47k. I think I'll buy a couple of extra sweaters and cut down a couple of ash trees for more logs.

Furthermore, it would be a good plan to participate Africa in power generation wins to build its prosperity. Better to sell „sun“ than oil. And a plan to change „sun“ against water. Wireless transmission means radiation which cant be beamed without loss. As for Africa, did the western discovery of oil in the middle east make oil cheap or did it make the Arabs rich? We need to be realistic. Cheap energy in northern countries means either wind or nuclear. Probably just wind since our fear of nuclear means such levels of safety precausions as to make it wildly uneconomic.

There are even conspiracy theories about his research successes (e.g.confidentiality etc.) This does not mean that one must believe these conspiracy theories. But it was actually his intensive field of research. And just because nobody has developed it further this must mean that it does not work. Thanks a lot for this recommendation, Graham. Bert, as I said, that N.Tesla failed must not mean that it could not be successful in a future time. How many decades has it taken before the knowledge of quantum physics became usable, e.g. laser or semiconductor. Or e.g. gravitational waves, which A. Einstein as existent derived from his calculations but at the same time said that they are so weak that we can never detect them.

What Battery sytem are you using Tim?
We're waiting for installation, so I can't report on performance yet, but our installer (who I've known for >30 years) recommended the LG 7KWh RESU DC coupled batteries. We're having 2. Cost was £5k each plus installation.

I once tried to get on one of those initiatives for solar panels, but was told my roof did not have sufficient surface area, and my loft space was too small. I've looked at the ground source, but they reckon they need a space 5 times the ground plan of the house. I'd have to use all my garden and that of neighbours  Just like with EV charging, politicians making decisions need to think about the implications for the 'average' householder, and not assume we all have offroad parking, large houses and big gardens!
