I noticed this car collection up for auction during our visit to France recently. The owner is the ex Mayor of the closest big town to us. This will fetch a serious amount of money. Some great motoring history and some fabulous designs but also some terrible junk in between.

I was just looking across. I find the offers partly very interesting. Some offers are through the roof, for example a 1982 Porsche for 70.000€. But a Mercedes SKlasse for 300€ to 500€ is an opportunity for a restorer who builds such cars. The part price for a windshield is already higher than the whole car.
I believe one can acquire hidden treasures.

There is an awful lot of rubbish in the collection. Much of it seems to have been collected for no better reason than that its French.
