I rember seeing her in some episodes of "The avengers " when I was young.
A nice lady..... Worthwhile catching her performance in "Mother Love"

She always used to laugh about one of the reviews she got. where she was described as being built like a ' a brick mausoleum with insufficient flying buttresses;

The sight of black leather always makes me think of her. Iconic. We must remember that she was an exceptional actress on stage and screen.In interviews she also showed her considerable intelligence and wit. A very rare talent but preserved in the archives for continued enjoyment.

But, I have to say, she got the Gurkha thing completely wrong and this has caused terrible problems and detriment to all parties.

Agreed Britmog; I had something of a crush on her as well. I watched the weekly episodes transfixed. She was my first TV love.  I was only ten years old, and probably just out of short trousers. And hen it was Linda Thorson, as the first stirrings of pubescence tapped me on the shoulder...
