I assume you took a ferry from Palermo, maybe to Roma, Genova, or Sardegna - than this could be a pic from any national park. Too tricky for me this time🤔

This is one hell of a trip Charles considering you were originally just going to pop over to Cape Finistierre and back. I think you qualify for MTWC Tourer of the Year 2020 AWARD Continue having fun, love reading your exploits. Ian

As all the sensible people stayed at home, there must have been a shortlist of one! Yesterday ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/k41bwc1.jpg) Most of it ersatz, one suspects, as our bombers paid it a lot of attention in 1944. It's Germany's oldest city. Most important place of all today ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/sghPtXW.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/MkznA36.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/D9MLbfK.jpg) Note the involuntary exhaust modification, which made sure that a good many sleepy Swiss hamlets woke up yesterday morning. Two curios: in 3500 miles, we did not see a single UK plate outside Calais, and only six sports cars (one on the back of a breakdown truck). And so it ends, thank God. Congratulatulations on a bunch of correct spots to Rog G, and particularly to The Austrian, who seemed to have recce'd the route before me.

I have been to Aachen too, several years ago.😉
But Italy is the country I really do enjoy. For many years I did Italian road trips, mostly two weeks each tour on a GoldWing or with the Morgan in recent years. I did purchase the 3-wheeler for touring Italy but mine was not reliable enough for long trips. That was the reason to get a 4/4 which is a perfect transport for us to enjoy Italian road trips. My best experience was to keep the average milage below 200 miles per day but every person has different preferences when traveling
It seems you had an excellent trip. Maybe high average milage per day, but an interesting route. Most likely it was not your last trip to Italy..😉

Aachen is important because it is the closest non-quarantinable point to Eurotunnel. There is a Total station right on the German border and filling an M3W to the brim will just get one the 217 miles to Calais without stopping.

So, another failed AR pipe... G56 is looking better and better.
How many miles on the pipes?

The light at the end of the tunnel is actually a train. 2019 M3W

Maybe it's the season? The last sunday of August there were more British cars on the road between Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne (mostly between Frankfurt and Cologne as they might have taken their route via Switzerland) northwards than I had ever seen before, almost more than Dutch cars, maybe because of Covid19 more British people preferred to drive their own car when they were in the south of Europe. And so it ends, thank God. Congratulatulations on a bunch of correct spots to Rog G, and particularly to The Austrian, who seemed to have recce'd the route before me.
M3W55 (and the fellow posters on this thread). Thank you very much for letting us participate in this fantastic trip and its photo documentation on TM. I read each and every picture and all the comments as well with absolute pleasure and followed your stages with excitement. It was certainly a most wonderful and unforgettable holiday for you.

Around 5000 before the first crack emerged. It was solidly welded just before the trip and, perhaps not surprisingly, the terminal crack developed in the Heat Affected Zone. I have experienced this before with a suspension bush.
