When I set off to Buckfast I went via Dartmouth and was waved down by a pedestrian who transpired is also a Plus 8 owner called Rob Symonds (not sure of the spelling) nice friendly chap, anyone know him ? He has a 1988 and is looking for a garage to rent down here. The cheapest around here in town is £50k right now, his plan is to get the car down asap.

I did wonder John, it was a short conversation and he had the appearance of a boaty type but nice and relaxed I got the feeling he was on holiday/second home sort of thing. Tall slim guy greying, I wished I got his contact incase I hear of a garage for rent.

Nice day out driving to West Mersea for lunch and a bit of a mooch. 88 miles each way - our nearest seaside destination. Waved to a Morgan trad in the morning going through Hitchin. Nice!

yesterday -
Reading to Lee-on-Solent and back (at dusk), via the A32 to visit friends. Splendid.
There was a Spitfire doing short 20 minute trips from the Solent Airport (not that we took part).

Today a convoluted route through Edale Bamforth over Snake Pass And back on the A623.
