Trains and stupidity do seem to figure frequently in that list!

They also cause a lot of delays even if they don't kill themselves.

Too right Bob, although stupidity on the railway is not the preserve of the selfie-taker. I was once on a platform at Paddington when a late middle-aged, bowler-hatted, pin-striped gentleman ran past me, threw his brief case through the open window of a departing high speed train and proceeded to climb through the window despite protestations from platform staff. I saw his feet disappear through the window just before the train reached the signal post at the end of the platform. I think some kindly souls helped pull him through the opening and prevented what could have been a very nasty incident.

I think the list should probably be much longer. A search on the internet will reveal news items regarding a number of deaths that aren't on that list plus a fair number that are suspected to be selfie related. A year or so back a Cinese tourist fell from a wall into Lake Como and drowned while she was taking selfie and I don't find that on the list. Another recent drowning was thought to be the result of an attempt to take a selfie.
