I once stuffed the exhaust of a 6-into-1 pipe on a Honda CBX1000 with a couple of Brillo Pads (for those not familiar, they are steel-wool pads impregnated with soap gel for cleaning stubborn pots and pans) to get the exhaust noise down to MoT-friendly levels. And it worked very well too. Riding home the bike was a predictable pain and just wouldn't rev, so foolishly I gave it rather too many beans until it cleared, resulting in the launching of two flaming, smoking surface-to-air missiles directly at the car following, which swerved violently and mounted the kerb. Not big or clever, but at least I could then get away from the inevitable road-rage...... That is screamingly funny! Maybe not to the vehicle behind you but I can visualize it and it just puts a big smile on my face. Thanks for brightening my day.

So, Hannes, could you move more freely at Neuschwanstein without all the oversea tourists? Should be on my list of places when I am back in Munich again for business.
