I use the lighter socket for charging, too (2009 Plus4).
But beware: on a classic car I had a cheap charger (not CTEK) which did not restart charging after a power outage and instead discharged the battery until it was completely dead.
The CTEK and some others resume charging in the mode they were in before the mains power loss.
