Good morning all, this might be a bit long winded so i will try and keep it brief.
Fuel pump. Rather than wait for it to fail, i was thinking of sourcing components to make a spare.
Now that Walbro have a kit for the M3W fuel pump, to me it makes sense to make a spare.pump module. Using this as a base for replacement together with the Walbro pump kit, and making a spare unit to carry on board.

Next. According to the buyers guide in the Morgan club magazine, the Lambda sensor may be a bit a problem, resulting in rough running or failure to run. How many had have experience with this and how was it remedied?

Tyres. We all know about the Avons and changing over to motor cycle tyres.

Centa compensator. Any news on the upgrade from Krazyhorse?

Eu3 or Eu4. Reading between the lines, the Eu3 and Eu4 ECU`s are different on both setups. Is this correct?

Front mudguards. Several owners have made ally mudguards. G56 make carbon fibre replacements but they are quite costly. I would prefer to go the ally route but was wondering where to source the mudguards from.

Shocks. Ohlins are probably the best, but the cost. ATR make very good alternative items. Are there any others that owners are using?

Exhaust. Cutting out the front baffle is an easy task to preform and the parts are quite cheap as well.

Intake. The G56 air filter cover does not come with air filter or the mounting brackets. The EU4 Intake is a mess. Removal of part of this and the subsequent re-provisioning of the redundant parts for under bonnet oil cooling is something that i have been looking in to for some time. I was thinking of cutting the front intake pipes but leaving enough to fit a pair of cone air filters.

At some point down the line i want to make my own dash panel. I intend to move the starter button and fit a clock. I want to fit a pair of exhaust temp gauges, left and right but i`m not sure where to start looking for these. I would like to fit a proper fuel gauge as well. And just for the fun of it a horizontal horizon or an altimeter!
Which would be more useful, a volt meter or an amp meter?

Ideally i would like an outside hand brake.

And the thought of Fitting a steering yoke still amuses me.

I thought this was a replacement for the stock cover ie reused the existing brackets, filter?

yes the G56 is just a replacement cover. The inside is a bit larger (I guess that makes the outside as well) so hopefully it allows freer air flow

I think Phil Bleazey is the man to contact for alternative tougher Centa inserts.

For alternative air cleaner the S & S Stealth kit provides a complete system which you would need if replacing the Euro 4 system.

You should already have a voltmeter as one of the stalk selected options on instrument display. Strongly suggest avoiding fitting an ammeter.

Why would you want to make up a spare pump module and carry it around with you, waiting for the original to die at the most inconvenient time and place and then try and replace it there, rather than in a well equipped garage? I would say the better option is to replace the original pump using the kit from Glencoe Ltd., then you have no worries about the pump failing.

Not heard anything about the Krazy Horse compensator for a long time but Phil Bleazeys upgrades work well and are pretty much proven now. There have been a few Lambda sensor failures but not a big problem, some replaced using the Bosch item. They probably don't like the vibrations from the engine much. Have you got your M3W yet? Production looks like finishing soon.

Just finished the real fuel gauge and a real oil pressure gauge.

If you want to install exhaust temp gauges you should be thinking stack temp gauges for Diesel engines. You would have to weld in threaded blocks to screw in the sensor. If you are just looking for surface temperature then band clamp it anywhere on the pipe you wish.

You can easily get alloy Motorcyle mudguards for 19 inch wheels on t'internet if you can make your own brackets.
