Enjoy working on that. Have to admit I have been tempted by the GT in the past. Owned a K reg Roadster many years ago.

Nice one, I loved my GT. I still think they are a great looking car.

Looks a fine GT, I have had 3 currently a green chrome bumper webasto roofed one and prior to that 2 rubber bumper jobs. All were excellent cars and despite criticism on another thread much better to drive imo than roadsters, and certainly more like two thirds of the value at least rather than the half suggested. A roadster chum of mine part exchanged his a few weeks ago at a classic dealers in fine nick with chrome conversion but only got £4.5 k as there are so many around for sale .
Good luck with the project from photo bodywork looks good !

"What work needs doing ?" Just some very small amount of surface rust bubble -- the main sills and box sections were all replaced and wax-filled in a £9k total rebuild in 1997. There are some electrical problems -- non working wipers and dash lights, the prop shaft needs two new u/j's, the usual rear brake slave cylinder sticking problems (familiar from my Morgan) and it could probably do with a new clutch. I shall no doubt discover more to do as I progress but I have it up on the lift at the moment and very pleasantly surprised by the condition of the underneath. cheers.

Sounds like all the really expensive stuff is fine. Your jobs list will keep you busy for a while and, hopefully, the parts won't be too costly.

Can recommend The MGB Hive at Wisbech well priced parts delivered the next day or at worst 2. Great people to deal with. Their MGB car covers are also impressive for a hundred quid, they last 3 years & remarkably keep all the elements out if like me you have no garage space for an MG !
