The rubber corner protectors are better than the leather ones. The leather hardens unless regularly treated and can cause rubbing marks. I took them off my car soon after getting it.

Also check the wing support brackets, one of mine snapped, when the car was 6 months old causing similar damage.

Corner protectors will reduce clearance and might make it worse.

My Plus 4 has a similar abrasion on the cowl but higher up. My solution was to fit thick leather patches on the cowl between the tapes, and guess what...a narrow strip of adhesive neoprene right round the underside of the front of the bonnets.

I'm not at home so I can't post pics.

The bonnet could have been taken off for servicing at some time so have you checked that it isnt moving due to loose screws as the bonnet shouldn't move so much in normal driving.

I have leather bonnet corners and no apparent rubbing to paint but I keep them dirt free and Vaseline the bonnet tapes.

I‘ve got the same on my 2018 plus4.

BHM and the factory told me that it would possible that sliding the bonnetcatch a little bit upwards and/ or bend the catch a little out can cure it.

In cause the car is new I‘m a little with fear so the work isn‘t done until now.

Yes they told me the same. For the moment I’ve put rubber bonnet corner protectors on.

I fitted brake reaction bars a couple weeks ago to ‘Morgie’ & can say that the front-end chassis/body ‘flex’ has virtually gone - not saying that the whole thing is now rigid though; that’s not the objective of fitting them, but, for this thread, it may help 🤷🏼‍♂️!
