We went off to Worplesdon NR Guildford to test drive a Honda CRV. The salesman asked what make of car the Morgan was. It was a lovely drive in the bright sunshine threading our way through Surrey avoiding Guildford and the A3.

Our aim is to share a car and so we look for a utilitarian manual gearbox compact that will carry a big dog. A small SUV seems to fit the bill. Our search included a Subaru XV and so we stopped in at Bell and Colvill to look over A new one to get a feel for the size and concluded that the Forester will suit us better as it is assembled on the same chassis as the XV and has a little more light and room. So it is off to Bristol on Tuesday to see a 2015 low mileage Forester. My Mercedes is in for new pads and, if not finished, than I may be making the journey in the Plus 4 if the weather is good.

67 rain dodging ish top down miles to drop Florence off at the dealers and confirm spec for Plus Four. Day of mixed emotions to be honest (mainly sadness at the mo) but I know it’s the right move if it means I can do longer journeys without the ensuing several days joint pain...(#firstworldproblem) .
But was in heaven for all those 67 miles, singing away.
I won’t win X Factor.
Now back with a v tough 3 month wait...

My Brother in Law has run Forresters for over 15 years. He's been very happy with them.

HB I feel your pain! Particularly on a bright sunny morning such as today. It was a sad day when my first 4/4 headed off on a transporter to a new home, with a month or so to wait for the present 4/4 to be ready...

I was still a bit bruised and battered, and the aircrew totally pampered me, I must have had every massage and treat known to man on that flight. cloud9

“Every treat known to man”. I might consider that too.

YES! Just a short trip to visit grandchildren. We are in a small lockdown zone but they are within it, only about 4 miles away. Roof down, Monty clipped in behind the seats ( grandchildren were complaining about not seeing him). Took the long route home, adding about 400 yards!

Just under 200 miles dodging showers and getting damp on Treasure hunt in Norfolk.
Back in the dark which tested the new LED headlights. They work really well.

Enjoying a long weekend in Somerset, had a great A road drive from Witney to East Harptree on Friday to stay in a treehouse!

Lovely spot to park the Mog, hopefully the birds can are kind and can do their 'business' somewhere other than on my roof.

Had a drive out Saturday to Cheddar Gorge, Weston-Super-Mud and Wells, all with the top down. Met a lovely couple in Weston who had a 2004 Roadster...and 9 other cars plus motorbikes!!
