I sorn my roadster, normally from end September until 1st April, but with the year we have had I keeped it on the road until yesterday and now I have sorned it along with and couple of our cars in my fleet, and even bought myself a permabag for one of the cars to be stored outside this winter. During the 6 months of winter I prepare the fleet for shows cleaning and servicing them.
I keep 2 other motors taxed all year for trips out and shopping etc

At the minute it’s the only thing that’s stops me going totally doolally

I have various comfortable metal on the drive and I take the plus 8 everywhere. Our winter mints are too long to refrain.

Can’t cope.

It will not be SORNed. I'll drive when the weather / salt on roads allow to stay sane

Never Sorn!!!!

Life too short in my opinion to pamper the Morgan and preserve it for the next owner !!!

Nothing better that Autumnal/winter drive with heated seat burning your a**e !!!

They will not melt and as we all know better for being used.

Since more than 20 years we did not sorn all our bikes and cars (last winter 4 bikes and 3 cars).

I would like to be able to use a vehicle when I want to or when circumstances permit.

But I have to say that I (many years ago) only owned a bike that was sorned in winter..

Definately NO to SORN.. It's only a car and bought to enjoy weather permiting of course. I think that more can go wrong with a car by leaving it siting around rather than giving it a good run out every week when all the oily parts are kept nicely coated and, as an additional benefit you will come home feeling grat.

We had an identical thread in the last lockdown: To SORN or not?.

At that time none of us had any idea how long it would be before we'd be back on the road so I SORN'd mine. In retrospect, it wasn't really worth bothering so I won't be doing it again.

Ijust re taxed mine. I didn’t Sorn in lockdown 1 and did use the car. I thought about it again for lockdown 2 but again taxed it. Winter time did add to the equation but the car alwayshas been used in winter anyway. Even swmbo agreed as we can use it as an option, even for shopping as in lockdown 1.

Tarka will not be SORNED...
But the MOT is due during lockdown 2, as is the road tax.
Will I be able to re-tax if I can't get an MOT?
Either way, I'll still be driving!
