We are so lucky to have Slapton Ley just a couple of miles away with Kingfishers and Otter on amongst the plethora of other wildlife, it's an SSI and NNR so it's what you would expect. Slapton LeyThe annual murmuration of Starlings has to be seen to be believed.

I had a wren's nest above the kitchen window this summer - and was there when the youngsters left. Tiny things... I hope they return next year, I've no idea of their mysterious habits.
I live in the middle of an active shooting estate - so regularly have large numbers of partridge and pheasant in the garden. No crows - or very few. Smart birds!
Bats and owls in abundance too - along with two annoying peacocks.
