I amstarting, with my questions...What is a 5 link roadster???

In April 2018 the factory changed the rear suspension on the 3.7 Roadsters Olivier. The leaf springs were replaced with coil spring damper units. The axle was located by two upper and lower trailing links and a panhard rod making 5 links. This arrangement had previously been used on the ARP4.

SSL can offer a retro fit of similar function for leaf spring cars.

Thank you Richard for the explanation, it must be a big difference but, for the time being, and given the price, I'll start with what I have :0)

I don't have the 5 link. I find the MMC leaf spring set up just fine with the right dampers. You are right to wait & see and I would if you can drive a 5 link SSL car to see if it works for you.

Cain can do lots with your pedals but would need the car for several days to fit the adjustable pedals on the clutch & brake

Oliver
I have fitted the 5 link system to my MOG that hopefully soon will be back on the road. Only the brakes, new electric loom and engine auxiliaries to refit. So I'm looking at a couple more months. After that the plan is a full shakedown to ensure everything works. It is at that point that I will be putting a full write up on TM with pictures.

Hello Olivier from a fellow Roadster owner.

I purchased mine last summer, I decided I wanted a car that I felt you had to drive and I am very happy with the decision. I hope you enjoy your Mog as much, you certainly have the climate for it.

Hi Olivier.
Also just new to the Morgan family.
Me and my roadster reside in Toulouse.
So stay in touch and we might catch up somewhere soon

Thank you John for the feedback, so which dampers would you recommend?

Dave, your Morgan is from a glorious year!
I am looking forward to your feedback when it will be back on the road.

Ulf, definitely, let me know in case you come further south!
