Morgan’s are okay for pottering about in, if you try to use them as racing cars off a track, bad things can happen.

I have an acquaintance who has a GT86, just 220bhp and relatively skinny tryes and an absolute hoot, he says. As a track day fanatic he was really happy when he managed to drift the GT 86 round all the corners at Castle Combe. He tried the new Supra, which has the same engine and gear box as the Plus Six with all driver aids turned off, so more like a Plus Six, and really didn't enjoy it. His comment was "too much torque at low revs, it won't drift, it snaps", no fun at all.
How many PlusFours have been crashed, as a % of production? Fewer than the Plus Six, I suspect because the engine and chassis work well together.
The Aero Plus 8 can bite.. I know of one that went through a hedge backwards, but fortunately with no structural damage. Most of the damage was superficial, caused by barbed wire and brambles... My experience is that tyres and rear suspension make a big difference: the SSL upgrades were a big step, I'm keen to see what the Cross Climate tyres are like in the spring on a dry, warm road.

Aeros did go backward through hedges. I recall being at the factory once and saw an early one being offloaded - presumably for repair. What struck me (metaphorically) was the fence post sticking out of it's arse.

The fun in driving my 110bhp 4/4 is that I can drive the car and use all the available power in most road conditions, with a high power car like the Plus Six you can only use a fraction of the available power in most road conditions.
That's precisely why I love my car so much. Who wants to be afraid to use all the available performance? I have the same feeling about the motorbikes Ive owned. Ive had FAR more enjoyment on a DRZ400 or my CX500 than I ever did on my Gixxer or R6

When I was picking up my +4 from a dealer in the south west late last year they were talking about a new roadster that had just been written off that week by a mechanic. Apparently the mechanic was not going fast and lost it on a bend and ended up in a ditch.
From what I was told, the air ambulance attended however the driver was not seriously injured.
Could this be the same car??

The MMC driver who pranged the early orange Plus 6 said he wasn't going fast, the road was wet but straight, a dual carriageway A road, and it just got away from him until it kissed the N/S barrier.
He was embarrassed because he had thousands of miles under his belt, and that happened.
The Plus Six isn't for me.

Me neither the Plus Four has a sufficiency of power suited to road use and general touring, and it looks like a trad, well almost so that's the one for me once the seats and brakes have been developed to an acceptable level to me and higher authority...
Track days are of no interest to me.
