I've been looking again at this.

I wanted to take my tank out so didn't examine this possibility before and indeed it might not work but worth a try I think.

The frame above the fuel tank is bolted through the inner wings with coach bolts.

If those coach bolts were removed, the frame MIGHT slide down just far enough to remove the fuel pump.

Have a look jaypee, it might just work.

Be careful the joints are probably glued. Ps I took the +8 underneath, but luckily that year Morgan used bracket's instead of the wood planks. but you need to get the rear of the car high.

Thanks for all the help on my fuel pump problem but I decided rightly or wrongly to cut the frame above the pump. Got the pump out and tapped it several times and it fired . Will get some Ash and scarf a repair at a later date, I have done a substantial temporary repair for the moment. Started to try and drop the tank from underneath but at 74 and a creaking body I gave up .
