I had my Astra Zeneca jab on Saturday morning. Superb organisation, I was very impressed. Less impressed with the violent shakes I got in the evening for an hour, what felt like a bad hangover on Sunday and then my arm losing its strength yesterday evening for a while....that one was really weird but with a bit of localised swelling where I was jabbed perhaps a trapped nerve? Anyway, that aside, just glad to get the jab!

Interesting. I had the AZ jab on Friday afternoon. Great organisation at our local health centre. At 9pm I felt cold, by 10pm this had progressed to severe shivering/shaking. A violent headache developed. Went to bed with the electric blanket kept on. The shakes were replaced by sweating. Took Disprin for the headache and was instantly sick. Then slept well for a few hours and felt a little weary on Saturday. OK by Saturday evening. Not much fun but much, much better than the alternative. The wife of a friend had a similar, but slightly different experience that lasted a couple of days. Other contacts of ours have been fine. It's the luck of the draw, one supposes.

Hopefully as the vaccinations progress, the numbers will fall and we can enjoy the freedom of driving our Morgans again.

I had the Phizer no problem, my partner had the AZ and had a violent headache and vomiting all night and the next day. All ok now though.

I had the AZ no real side effects. Felt a little “jaded” the next evening. Guess it depends on your genetic make.

Mind you nothing to say that in 3 weeks time that I won’t be swinging from trees & making monkey noises 😀. (See the ingredients of the AZ)

All done, even got the Memsahib done at the same time as there were a few spare doses due to the snow and people not arriving. Thank goodness, no side effects, I've always had 8 fingers on my left hand !!!

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I had the Pfizer - no problems. Wife had the Pfizer and felt sick for 24 hours. But was that because she had read about side effects? When someone says to you, "does this beer taste off to you" then usually it immediately does just that.

Alternatively, is the level of reaction to the vaccine an indicator of how badly you might have suffered with the real thing?

A very good question.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
