Welcome - a sheepskin flying jacket and ski-mits are your best friends in the winter...modern fabrics don't quite cut it!

The hand warmers run each side of the car outside. The Fairbourne screen made a big difference to keeping my right hand warm.

What a fantastic response!
Thanks everyone!
I’ve finally managed to drill the exhaust baffles out and the engine now seems to rev freely past 5000 despite only having an hour or so on it but that’s very interesting information indeed.
Took it out for a good drive today, quickly getting to grips with the dynamics of it, more confidence in the brakes and so on. I absolutely love it!
I’ll upload some pictures but it’s dove grey with honey tan leather. It’s got the shark face and white stripe along the back. I also put some tail numbers on the back of it.
Unfortunately I’ve come across an issue while driving it today with some incredibly violent banging when applying full throttle in the lower gears. Feels like someone is hitting the underside of the car with a sledge hammer. It’s fine when throttle is kept below 75%. I’ll open a new thread for that though.
And get back to this thread to reply properly. What a great community 😃

New engine has built in rev limiter.
Welcome to the frustration that is Morgan.
What year is yours?
Thanks Lighspeed! Brand spanking new! One of the last off the line. I was told if I’d waited another day to order I would have been left empty handed!

Bear in mind that it is still running in. Keep it below 4500 rpm until the first oil service.
as for the banging, I experienced that on hard acceleration when I picked mine up. The drive belt was the culprit and a little tightening sorted that out.

Hi Greg, I am about 15 miles south of Altrincham in Northwich. I have owned a M3W from new in 2013 , and been around the block with it many times , literally. I have done many upgrades / modifications , happy to help if you need a sounding board etc. Ah! Tom at Oakmere mentioned a local owner they saw drive by occasionally, I wonder if it was you they were talking about. If ever you fancy a 2+ M3W I’d be happy to join. Some fab roads near here from Hale to Ashley then towards Mobberley or Knutsford.
