I can see 4 images in your post. At first look it confused me twin fishtails? Then I realised its a reflection off a polished body. I dont fancy the upkeep on that to keep it shining, I gave up polishing the exhaust headers.

Yes, I was finally able to figure out how to get images and edited post.
I didn’t plan on getting the polished body, but one look at it in person convinced me. Mind you I’ve only enjoyed and haven’t yet had to do any of the work. I don’t think I’ll mind as I just appreciate everything about it, even if it’s a pain:)

There seems to be a fair amount of unsupported weight from the fishtails after the can. I wonder if this and maybe mechanical resonance stresses the welds. Although it would involve major surgery thoughts were to reduce the length of the fishtail supporting pipes to minimise stress on welds as a longer term solution ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/gBEtBcZ.gif)

That’s disappointing, I still have the original exhaust mounts on my Brooklands and no cracks yet but then again I’ve only done 2000 miles. I can’t believe a good stainless welder can’t grind that out and weld it, have you tried stainless exhaust specialists? It’s not as though the original weld was that tidy. I thought I was just waiting for the front to crack.

Agreed Richard that is the probably cause & the best solution unless another mount is fitted.
