Kings way, I had thought about the flash for a long time but was put off by the cost. In the end I bit the bullet and had the full clubsport tune done around August last year. My only regret in not doing it a couple of years ago the car is much sportier right through the Rev range and especially higher up the revs.
The exhaust sound is about perfect for me, much more popping on overrun and a sportier sound but without being too loud on a long run. The overall verdict is expensive but worth every penny.

Car came back with the full sport exhaust and ecu upgrade a few days ago and seems to go very well. But, looking under the bonnet, I can see two electrical connectors that are unplugged on the manifold side of the engine towards the front of the engine block - as can be seen in the following images. Does anyone know what they are and whether they need connecting? Not sure if they were previously connected before the upgrade or not... Thanks for any help and advice. I seem to remember Hawki saying you need longer leads for some of the lamba sensors. could they have just removed them. There should be 2 per cat.

Both Lambda sensors need extensions to the leads because the Cat is further away from the engine. Check to see if your cat is fitted with two sensors, and that they are connected. The connections on my 2016 are at the bulkhead just below the air cleaner box. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/09/10/P1050343.jpg)

Very interesting... I made a picture for to see what is going on.
And: the connectors aren‘t connected at my „standard“ car without a modification.
So the best: ask the dealer who has made the work. You have paid for it.

Are you sure it is the lambda sensor connections? If the control sensor in front of the catalytic converter is not plugged in, the car will only run in limp home mode. And if the control sensor after the catalytic converter is not connected, the car would not get the MOT, at least in Germany.

Here's my standard (for the moment!!) 2018 GDI, to me it looks the same as Alastair's car. Cheers John ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2021/02/16/DSC03244rs.md.jpg)

Thanks all for your help on this. Allon White did the work for me and told me this morning that the connectors in my pictures are not connected in the standard GDI set up either. I'll still have a look to see if I can see the two sensors from the CAT as suggested but sounds like the leads in my pictures are redundant in any case. From taking a good look under the bonnet and underneath the car it does look like Allon White have made a good job of fitting the new system.
As far as performance etc goes then the upgrade really does see to live up to expectations as being transformative - acceleration in 3rd gear is very rapid and noticeably better than previously. I haven't had the chance to really test it on some familiar routes yet - hopefully we will be allowed to travel a bit more freely sometime in March.....

I would be very surprised if AW got it wrong.
