One advantage of a wristwatch over a tattoo is that it can be easily removed by a surgeon prior to a necessary procedure.

Absolutely. I also had to take a fair bit of 'body jewellery' before I went in too (not allowed any metalwork apparently). The Nurse was very pleased that my Mrs arrived just before surgery so she didn't have to remove it smile wink

Went for a head xray and had to take out my ear-ring ..... had it in untouched since only gypsies and sailors had them (I'm neither, and this represents my only instance of 'being ahead of the curve' 🙂 ) .... when I was finished had to get a nurse to put it back in as I'd never done it in spite of having the thing for 40 years 🙂
