One advantage of a wristwatch over a tattoo is that it can be easily removed by a surgeon prior to a necessary procedure.

I also had to take a fair bit of 'body jewellery' before I went in too (not allowed any metalwork apparently). The Nurse was very pleased that my Mrs arrived just before surgery so she didn't have to remove it

Went for a head xray and had to take out my ear-ring ..... had it in untouched since only gypsies and sailors had them (I'm neither, and this represents my only instance of 'being ahead of the curve' 🙂 ) .... when I was finished had to get a nurse to put it back in as I'd never done it in spite of having the thing for 40 years 🙂
