As written today was the first day out with the flashed MOG after her hibernation.

A lot of fun! But some worries: now suddenly my speedo and my recounter shows mist. And the fuelgauge.

The recounter is only a small part from 6 o‘clock to 8000rpm, not the area of use. But the speedo the mist grows up with the speed
(more speed - more mist) to nearly the full dial! Only the (also useless) area about 6 o‘clock. When I drive slower after a time
the mist turns back, but the area of interest (and risk of tickets) is out of sight.

I know about that MOGs have this problem. But here it was after hibernation (and flash) in a dry garage.

Any ideas?

Yes, have a 2017 4/4 and suffers the same but predominantly the fuel/oil pressure/water temperature gauges. The speedo and rev counter nowhere near as much. The OEM style clock that was not factory fitted - not at all innocent
However the misting starts fairly shortly after start up as the engine warms up but then goes after its been driven for a while.
I've accepted it as a quirk of Morgan ownership.

Sounds a but like the Smith's heater on my LR. When fan first turned on the windscreen mists up (even more) before it eventually warms the screen enough to get ahead of the game.

Mist in Smith instruments indicate a low outside temperature.
That is a special feature!
One of the few things you get without extra cost for your Morgan.

You need to drive more with the heater & lights on. Sadly they do that. You can drill holes etc to improve venting. See Dave W's how to section.

Hi Rene.
Misting was a standard feature of all UK classic cars, but Morgan, in the interest of maintaining the classic theme, continued the practice into later cars. !!!
But seriously I really would not worry about it, more driving and the warmer weather ahead will cure the misting.
Stay safe, Jads.

The misting of gauges is in my case an odd phenomenon. For the 1st two years of the cars life no misting. Since then 8 yrs the misting is slowly getting worse. Methinks something in the internals slowly becomes prone to absorbing moisture. Note for the last 5 years the car is driven almost every day, but is kept outside.

Now a new idea... from old PORSCHEs...

Sounds logic.

Problem 1) a windy situation behind the dash (always in Morgans)

Problem 2) great temperature differences (always in Mogs)

Problem 3) a lot of dust

Problem 4) the instruments are not dustproof

This points causes dust on the backside of the instruments and the surface grows up with a difficult sensitive for different temperature.

To sort the problem it helps to open the instruments and clean the backside of the glass from time to time.

:-(

As Scottie would say to Capt. Kirk...
Ye canna change the laws of physics.
Warm air behind the dash, cool air outside. Glass chiils and condensation forms.
A Morgan wouldn’t be the same without dampness inside! It’s a micro climate.
