Lovely point Tim, $37Bn still being left in silence. I don't hear a lot about it anywhere now. Or a report on the results. Time for a question during Boris at the box.

I don't hear a lot about it anywhere now. One good thing at least - it demonstrates very clearly that the BBC isn't in fact ruled by a bunch of anti-government lefties. If it were, they would be after this story like a rat up a drainpipe. But not a peep really. It comes to something when the only organisation trying to hold this government to account for all its dodgy shenanigans is Jolyon Maugham's Good Law project https://goodlawproject.org/update/johnson-misled-parliament/"3 days after the High Court ruled Government had acted unlawfully by failing to publish Covid contracts, Boris Johnson stood up in the House of Commons and reassured MPs and the public that all Covid-related contracts were “on the record”. However, the final Order handed down by the Judge today shows that what the Prime Minister told the House was not true. " Remember when the Prime Minister (or any minister, come to that) being caught lying to the House was a resigning matter?

"lying to the House was a resigning matter"
They cannot afford that level of unemployment right now, mind you the savings could pay for a few nurses.

It's not lies, it's fake truths. Or as Kellyanne Conway would put it, "He presented an alternative set of facts".

Off topic Take your politicising to the soap box Sorry. I didn't think that expecting our government to obey the law would be seen as politically contentious.

My 23 year old son who is a UK national, student athlete studying in US has been offered his first vaccine next week, so will be the first in our family to get the jab.
I wouldn't have put money on a non tax paying, foreigner who is as fit as butchers dog, being jabbed so early. Clearly a different set of criteria in the US.

Noticed the NHS site was accepting bookings for 56 and up late on Fri evening. So I booked a my first jab in for the earliest slot in ~12 days time. Only for the last step to say “problem, appointment cancelled” which perhaps implies some transactional integrity challenges with the NHS web back end. So I started again, and this time an appointment appeared for the following day (aka Saturday / yesterday). So got my first jab!
Have to say the vaccination centre was well- stewarded. At the entrance was a couple trying to blag their way in without an appointment. The 1st checkpoint pointed out that the NHS appointment invite didn’t include your NHS no which was what they used in the subsequent 4 checkpoints. So everyone was taking a smartphone snap of their record shown them at the 1st check! The 2nd check had a brief moment of surprise about my age. Other than that very smooth process! Highly recommended for those in the UK!
